Northern Heights Principal

Dear Northern Heights Elementary Family,

I would like to welcome you to Northern Heights Elementary School for the 2012-2013 school year!  The start of a new school year is an exciting time, and we are pleased that you will be joining us on this journey.  My name is Jake Hoag, and I am honored to have been selected as the new principal for Northern Heights Elementary.  Previously, I served as one of the co-principals at Indian Springs Middle School, as well as the principal at Madison Elementary School in Warsaw, IN.  I am a lifelong resident of Columbia City, and as a result, I have a vested interest in our schools, as well as our community.  As principal of Northern Heights Elementary, I am committed to offering a 21st century education to our students, which includes a solid background in the core courses of reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies.  In addition, our students will receive instruction in art, music, physical education and technology.  In closing, it is my sincere belief that families, students and staff working together is crucial to our success, so please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns and celebrations.
