Whitley County Consolidated Schools congratulates the March Teacher of the Month and Staff of the Month winners.
Michelle Lee, Kindergarten Teacher at Northern Heights Elementary, was recognized as teacher of the month for March 2025.
“She always puts her students first. She isn’t afraid to try new things to provide the best education for her students. She is very reflective about her teaching and works hard for the success of every child. On special days, she dresses up to the extreme for the joy of her students. She goes over and beyond planning, collaborating, and dedicating herself to her students. Her data speaks for itself but she is so much more than that,” said Lee’s nominator.
Kimberly Harrison, Sixth Grade Office Manager at Indian Springs Middle School, was recognized as the Staff Member of the Month for March 2025.
"She will help with school work and is very kind and wonderful toward kids and adults. She does a lot for our school and helps our kids with their work. She tries very hard to satisfy others,” said Harrison’s nominator.
The winners were awarded a certificate, a floral design from Bravo Floral, and a t-shirt voucher for WCCS swag from Running Around Screen Printing. Thank you, Bravo Floral and Running Around Screen Printing!
WCCS is grateful to our exceptional teachers and staff who serve our community well. Each month, nominations are taken from co-workers, families, and the community and then winners are chosen from a selection committee made up of community members, service organizations, a WCCS School Board member, and WCCS staff.
Through May, we will honor a WCCS teacher and a WCCS staff member who go above and beyond, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to academic excellence, innovative teaching methods, and fostering a positive, engaging learning environment. These exemplary educators embody the WCCS values of Eagle P.R.I.D.E. - Persistence, Respectfulness, Initiative, Dependability, and Efficiency.
