Our students continue to amaze me with their creativity, passion, and commitment to learning WCCS Coverboth inside and outside the traditional classroom. This month, I am excited to say that we are sharing several highlights that showcase the incredible opportunities our staff are providing.

We are thrilled to expand our Esports program, bringing competitive gaming into the academic realm at the middle school and offering our students a new avenue for teamwork, strategic thinking, and digital collaboration. This program demonstrates our commitment to engaging students through innovative platforms that resonate with their interests.

We are particularly proud to recognize Libby Snyder, our newest Lilly Scholar. Libby’s academic achievement and community leadership exemplify the exceptional potential of our students. Her selection is a testament to the strong educational foundation we provide at the high school level.

Our elementary students dove into literacy with enthusiasm through their Read - a - Thon, while our high school community is rallying around an inspiring project: fundraising for a handicap-accessible adult playground that will create inclusive recreational spaces for all students.

These initiatives reflect our district’s core values: innovation, opportunity, and student-centered learning. We’re not just teaching - we’re empowering future leaders.

Proudly serving our community,

Dr. Laura McDermott, Ed.D.
WCCS Superintendent
