We are excited to welcome all students and families to the new school year! To ensure a smooth and successful start, please take note of the following important information and reminders:

Live Lessons

For the first 8 days of the school year, it is mandatory for students to attend live lessons. These sessions are crucial for setting up the foundation for the rest of the school year. Live instruction will continue to be a key component of our curriculum, providing real-time interaction and support.

Online Learning Resources for Success

After the initial eight days, you should actively engage with either the live lessons or the recorded sessions, work through the lessons, and complete your guided notes. Consistently following these steps greatly increases your likelihood of success. If you continue to experience difficulties, make sure to attend the live lessons, take advantage of live help, and consider seeking additional support, such as a tutor.

  • Live Lessons: Live lessons are offered Monday through Thursday, with each class typically holding two live sessions per week. If you are keeping pace with the course schedule, you will have multiple options to choose from. However, if you are working ahead or falling behind, your options may be more limited. In such cases, you can always utilize the recorded lessons as an alternative.

  • Recorded Lessons: These lessons are made available to students to watch at their convenience, allowing them to learn at their own pace. This format is particularly useful for students who may need to revisit challenging concepts or who missed the live session.

  • Slide Deck (Online Textbook): Course content can be accessed via the slide deck. This resource will be a central part of our curriculum, offering interactive content and valuable learning materials. This functions like the online textbook.

  • Guided Notes: Alongside the slide deck, students are encouraged to use guided notes. These will help them focus on key concepts and retain important information from each lesson.

  • Live Help: This is available to you on a daily basis if you have questions or are confused in any of your classes. Available: Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 6:00 and Friday 9:00 - 4:00.

  • Success Coaches: All students in grades 6-12 have been assigned to a Success Coach Advisory course. It has come to my attention that elementary students do not have access to Success Coaches; however, elementary teachers are deeply involved in providing support, rendering the need for a dedicated Success Coach in grades K-5 unnecessary.

Mandatory Videos

To support your child's successful start to the school year, a series of videos have been prepared to cover essential topics and resources. These videos are mandatory to watch and will provide valuable guidance for both students and parents. Please ensure that you view these videos.
