Today Indian Springs students were treated to a pasta bar by the cafeteria staff. Students had their choice of marinara sauce with or without meat, two different types of noodles, and macaroni and cheese. This was in addition to the everyday options of the salad bar. Big thanks to Jill Lemmon and her staff for continuing to offer our students new food options!
Congratulations to the FFA Chapter Meeting team for winning the Northern Indiana section contest last night! The team of Evan Schrader, Brooke Landers, Lucas Francis, Sawyer Kauffman, Jeffrey Adkins, Tyler Hoskins, and Trevor Hull will advance to the State Finals next Saturday.
Congratulations again to the 7th-grade Lady Eagles Basketball team on their conference championship win!
Students from kindergarten through 12th grade learned about the power of legumes in our first “Try-It Tuesday” of the year. Pictured are samples of the refried beans all students were offered and encouraged to try. Did you know beans are packed with protein to keep you strong, give you energy for class and sports, and help your brain stay focused? Our students do now!
8th grade Lady Eagles 🏀 lost a tough one 27-26 in OT against Norwell for the NE8 championship. They all played great and we are proud of their hard work!

During last night's Board of School Trustee meeting, our ISMS Student Council presented the School Board members with gift baskets to show appreciation for National School Board Appreciation Month.
Students spoke about the value of our school board before presenting.

Yesterday, our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students participated in a taste testing, exploring the components of school breakfast and lunch. Students sampled various foods and provided valuable feedback about our salad bar options.
Our young food critics shared thoughtful insights about flavors, textures, and what they'd love to see more of in future meals. It was a fantastic hands-on way to learn about balanced nutrition and food choices.
Another taste testing opportunity is scheduled for today!
Help! We are being overrun with lost and found. Many of the items have been here since before fall break. We will donate all unclaimed items from the first semester at the end of the month. Then moving forward we will donate items at the end of each quarter.
It was a cold and snowy fire drill yesterday for Mrs. Johnson's PE class.

With winter break here, I want to remind you that the safety and well-being of our school community continue to be a top priority. The holidays are a time when some students may need additional support.
During the break, the reporting feature for STOPit, our anonymous reporting system will be shut off. Students will continue to have access to the app for local resources and the Crisis Text Line services during the break.
The reporting feature will come back into service on January 5.
