Sixth Grade Eagle Students have been voluntarily writing notes, drawing pictures, and collecting mail for Honor Flight Northeast Indiana's Mail Call! Today, students brought in their mail and in each class period, the student who brought in the most was given an Honor Flight guardian shirt for their efforts. Mrs. Coons collects mail year-round for HFNEI's Mail Call, so if your family, team, youth group, etc. would like to donate notes, letters of gratitude, and/or pictures, it would be appreciated! add Week 2023 includes a student video contest and activities during grade level lunches. Prior to add Week students will learn facts about drug addictions. During add Week students will work in groups (or individually if they choose) to recall the facts they learned. Students will also participate in a drug addiction BINGO, limbo, and Nerf basketball. The add Week "wings" will be available for students to take pictures; alone or with friends. A grant from Drug Free Whitley County is funding the video awards and prizes won during competitions.
Just a reminder to parents and students- all schools offer a breakfast daily which includes their bread grain, fruit juice, and choice of milk! The price for the Elementary and Middle School is $1.55 and a High School breakfast is $1.75! Throughout the week, both hot and cold breakfast items are offered. against destructive decisions (add Week) focuses on the destruction drug addictions bring to individuals, families, and communities. Indian Springs originated add Week in 2017 in response to the growing need to fight drug addiction and destructive decisions.
This week is Against Destructive Decisions Week.

Next week is add Week -- Against Destructive Decisions. The focus is on avoiding destructive decisions such as drug and alcohol use. To help bring focus to the week, each day will be a dress-up day.
Today the 8th grade social studies classes kicked off their westward expansion unit by building pioneer wagons. Wagons were tested for their ability to roll in a straight line and will be judged by a team leading "experts" for authenticity.
